ORLANDO, FLORIDA — A man is recovering in the hospital after being mugged and shot while shopping in a strip mall near the University of Central Florida.
Deputies say the victim had just bought jewelry at a store along the 12000 block of Collegiate Way around 10 p.m. when he was mugged and then shot. Two bystanders reportedly saw the robbery, grabbed the gunman and beat him up. He'll be taken to jail when he's released from the hospital.
The victims injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
