Einstein Bagels to start selling ‘Party Bagels,’ which appear to simply be donuts

Einstein Bros. Bagels has announced they’ll be released a “party bagel,” and Twitter users are seemingly unhappy about it.

“Party bagels” are just doughnuts, which are “sliced and schmeared in the middle” with buttercream frosting.

These “party bagels” come in two flavors: churro and chocolate birthday cake—the churro flavor comes with sweet cream cheese buttercream in the middle, while the birthday cake option comes with chocolate buttercream in the middle.

The churro option is also topped with cinnamon sugar, while the chocolate birthday cake flavor is glazed with chocolate frosting and topped with confetti sprinkles.

People on Twitter were skeptical about the name choice for the new menu item, with one person writing, “Those words [,party bagel,] should only be uttered if you want a donut but are too high to remember the word ‘donut.’”
