Isaac Abdelmessih is a reporter for WDBO. A native of Orlando, Florida, Isaac graduated from the University of Central Florida Nicholson School of Communication and Media with his B.A. in Journalism in 2026. Isaac also has a minor in Anthropological Archaeology.
Isaac is a former Executive Producer and reporter for UCF's Charge-On Air newscast where he built newscasts and webcasts every week, worked with reporters, helped edit stories, interviewed UCF personnel, used software such as Rundown Creator and Adobe, and taught the next class of UCF journalism students that will lead the newscast.
In 2025, Isaac became an on-air play-by-play and color sports commentator for the Orlando-based hockey network, DSPN Live. In his role, Isaac commentates UCF men's and local youth hockey games that are played at the Orlando Ice Den in Maitland, Florida.
Isaac is also the President of the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church Young Adult Ministry (YAM) and a member of the Syrian Lebanese American Club (SLAC) Orlando chapter.
He is passionate about covering local news, sports, international and domestic politics, archaeology, as well as the environment as it relates to Florida. Outside of reporting, Isaac enjoys cooking, playing tennis, singing, attending church, teaching people about Christ, fishing, swimming in Rock Springs, public speaking and playing the piano. Isaac hopes and prays to eventually be ordained a priest in the Antiochian Christian Orthodox church.
