ORLANDO, Fla. - Businessman and tech entrepreneur, Chris Messina, joined ‘Orlando’s Morning News’ on Thursday to make one last effort to appeal voters ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
He talked about how he thinks he did in a Channel 9 debate that aired live on Oct. 28, his stance on Amendment 3 and what he would want to accomplish as Orange County Mayor.

One main difference between Messina and his opponent is his approach to Amendment 3. Messina is in support of the homestead exemption proposal because he thinks it will save home owners more money for things like more groceries in their pantries.
He also believes it will give young homeowners the opportunity to qualify for a mortgage since taxes will be lower when factored into that mortgage rate.
“I am asking everyone who is listening [to WDBO] to vote for Amendment 3,” Messina said. “If you’re a homeowner in Orange County, you will save a $1,000 on your property taxes. That will go up to $2,000 in year two.”
Florida’s midterm election is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and there are multiple seats up for grabs including the Orange County Mayor position.
