A 17-year-old lifeguard at an Australian beach rescues an animal that got caught in rough surf.

Here in Florida, we’re known for crazy animal stories with our herpes-infested monkeys, gators, zika mosquitos, snakes, iguanas ... but at least we don’t have kangaroos and that’s where Australia has us beat.

Lillian Bee Young was on her fourth day as a lifeguard at an Aussie beach when a roo hopped along and into the rough surf.

The lifeguard got onto her rescue board and paddled out to the kangaroo’s location.
