A couple in North Carolina got a rude wake up while heading out to start the day.
Cameras on the house captured as a man and woman begin to get into their car, unaware of the danger that approached them.
The husband puts his coffee down on the hood while he fiddles to find the car keys and comments on the need to get his car a wash, while his wife, carrying an animal carrier, slides between two cars to get in the passenger side.
Suddenly, a low, guttural growl is heard and the wife begins to scream.
The husband runs to her side, then appears on the other side of the car carrying a bobcat above his head Lion-King-style.
“It’s a bobcat!” he yells, before throwing the animal across the lawn.
The cat bounces back and begins to run back toward the couple before the husband is able to run it off.
Officials say the animal was later caught and had to be put down after it tested positive for rabies.
Both the husband and wife received rabies shots and are fine.
