Orlando, Fla. — As the state enters Full Phase 1 reopening, Disney Springs says third-party operators can open back up for business when the shopping and entertainment district partially reopens on Wednesday.
Walt Disney World said they will begin to reopen some of their shops and restaurants on May 27.
Of course there are a number of new safety measures in place and the resort says guests must follow the posted guidelines or they will be asked to leave.
In a statement Disney outlined 6 key things to know before guests, Cast Members and Operating Participant employees arrive at Disney Springs, and they include:
- Limited parking and reduced entrances
- Temperature screenings prior to entry
- Face coverings required for Guests ages 3 and up
- Physical distancing practices including physically-distanced queues and physical barriers
- Temporary operation modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and no scheduled entertainment offerings or high-touch interactive areas
- An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas
Disney also pointed out that anyone choosing to visit Disney Springs is assuming risk of exposure to the extremely contagious and sometimes deadly disease, they simply stated:
“By visiting Disney Springs you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19”
More than 10 eateries have posted on social media that they will be opening Wednesday or Friday.
The following restaurants will open Wednesday:
- The Boathouse
- 4 Rivers
- Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck
- Wine Bar George
- Chicken Guy
- Frontera Cocina
- The Polite Pig
- Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill
- YeSake
These restaurants will open Friday:
- Morimoto
- Pizza Ponte
- Vivoli il Gelato
On May 27, World of Disney, Marketplace Co-Op and mobile orders for D-Luxe Burger will resume.
There’s no word on the status of live entertainment at Disney Springs.
