WWE Superstars Visit Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital

Enzo Amore visits with a child during a hospital visit.

Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment stepped out of the ropes and into a children’s hospital Wednesday to put smiles on the faces of patients.

Wrestlers who made the visit, including the charismatic Enzo Amore and former women’s champion Sasha Banks, were able to do arts and crafts with the kids, as well as sign autographs, give out merchandise and take pictures.

“Knowing what they’re going through and just seeing that they forget about all their worries just for a second to meet their favorite superstars, it’s the best feeling in the world,” Banks said.

Her fellow superstars Peyton Royce and Billie Kay agreed with the Banks’ sentiment.

“It’s amazing, this is Billie and my first hospital visit so we weren’t really sure what to expect at all,” Royce, who wrestles on WWE’s NXT brand said. “This is so rewarding for us..it’s so satisfying”.

This visit was just one of the many ways the superstars will be connecting with the Orlando community throughout the weekend, leading up to Wrestlemania 33.

“WWE has so many things in the community that touch my heart,” Banks said. “That’s what I love about WWE, we are a community and we’re here to put smiles on people’s faces.”

This event is part of WWE’s community outreach efforts, which in addition to visiting hospitals include supporting foundations such as Make-A-Wish and Connor’s Cure. Just this weekend alone, the WWE will be holding an anti-bullying rally, a reading celebration and a Special Olympics basketball game.

Wrestlemania 33, the largest professional wrestling event of the year, takes place this Sunday, April 2nd.
