SunRail trains were delayed Thursday morning after a Southbound train carrying 150 people clipped a dump truck at 8:15 a.m.
It happened on Orange Avenue near Holt Avenue in Winter Park where as many as eight passengers were treated for minor injuries. At least one person was taken to the hospital.
A SunRail spokesperson says this is the first accident they've had involving an injury.
SunRail said it was the 7:30 a.m. southbound train from the DeBary SunRail station was involved in the crash.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation representatives, the dump truck was behind the old Thomas Lumber building on Orange Avenyue and became aware that he was too close to the tracks. The driver attempted to move the truck but the train clipped the vehicle as it passed.
SunRail trains were cleared to move again about 10 a.m.
