An airshow in Texas almost took a tragic turn on Sunday when a wayward skydiver made a crash landing into a crowd of spectators.
Cellphone video of the near catastrophe was posted to YouTube within hours of the incident. It has since been shared and reposted thousands of times.
ABC13 reports, high winds caused organizers of the Wings Over Houston airshow to cancel a performance by a Florida-based team of skydivers. The determination was made after the first skydiver jumped out of the plane.
In the video, an announcer can be heard explaining the situation to the audience, telling them to give the man plenty of room to land.
According to reports, the skydiver suffered a broken limb but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
No one on the ground was injured.
