The Florida Highway Patrol just reopened State Road 50 in both directions. Earlier FHP shut down the road from St. Nicholas Avenue in Orange County to Plantation Drive near I-95. The Beachline state road 528 is also open. Smoke from brush fires has been causing visability problems for several days.
Brush fires are also closing roads in Hudson and Land O Lakes. We’ll keep an eye on the roads all day and let you know if they close again. Listen for traffic reports every six minuts on News 96.5 WDBO.
