ORLANDO, Fla. — The Thanksgiving travel rush is underway and thousands of people are packing up and getting ready to head to the airport.
Data shows Wednesday is one of the busiest days for travel at Orlando International Airport, ahead of Thanksgiving.
More than 150,000 people are expected to move through OIA on Wednesday.
A total of 1.75 million people are expected to visit OIA during the 12-day Thanksgiving holiday travel stretch.
That’s a 10% increase over 2021.
The airport says travel numbers will rival pre-pandemic levels.
Airport leaders recommend travelers arrive two to three hours before their flight.
