Orange County opens new drive-thru COVID-19 testing site

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced Monday that the county is opening a second drive-thru COVID-19 testing site as demand for testing continues to grow.

The testing site will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting on Tuesday at Econ Soccer Complex, located at 8035 Yates Road.

The site will be for COVID-19 testing only, no vaccines.

Officials said there is a four-person limit per vehicle and that walk-ups are not permitted.

Testing is also still available at Barnett Park.

On Sunday, the state broke its previous record for current hospitalizations, set more than a year ago.

The Sunshine State had 10,207 people hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to data reported to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
