A lockdown at an Osceola County high school was lifted early Wednesday following a false report of a possible weapon on campus, school officials said.
Liberty High School was placed on red lockdown as a precaution after students reported that a weapon might have been on campus.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said three students were simulating a school shooting.
Students admitted to law enforcement officers that it was a joke. No weapon was found on campus.
Deputies said the students were interviewed and charged with disruption of school.
Parents were notified by a call-out message.
No other details were available.
