The St. James Cathedral reverend talked all things Easter and Good Friday with OMN host Scott Anez.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Father Miguel González of Orlando’s St. James Cathedral joined Scott Anez on Orlando’s Morning News ahead of the Good Friday and Easter holiday.

“It’s a joyful time, but it’s also a time for reflection, a time for us to really focus on the events that brought us salvation, forgiveness of sins, and everlasting light,” said González.

Catholic Review defines Holy Week as “the most sacred of time of year,” where “we enter into the passion of Christ — his Crucifixion, death and Resurrection — through liturgical celebration and personal conversion.”

The Week begins with Good Friday, often considered the “most solemn day” on the Christian calendar, and is followed by Easter, which commemorates the day Christians believe that Jesus was resurrected.

Father González spent this Good Friday holiday talking with Scott Anez about these notable holy days as well as the influx of people returning to the church.
