A teenage girl and her boyfriend are in the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center after deputies said one of them tried to kill the girl's mother and threatened her father.
Investigators arrested Yaquelin Galvez Don, 13, and Pedro H. Solis late Sunday afternoon.
According to deputies, Solis hid in the garage of a home on 55th Place in Ocala, while Don lured her mother into the garage. Deputies said Solis the cut the mother's throat.
According to deputies, while the mother struggled, Solis went into a bedroom and put the knife to the throat of Don's father.
After the father pleaded with Solis help Don's mother, Solis took the injured woman to the hospital where he dropped her off, deputies said.
Deputies said the mother survived surgery and was able to provide details of the alleged attack to investigators.
Don and Solis are both charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of attempted murder in the second degree; both being held without bond.
