Yesterday marked a milestone for the high-speed train in Brevard and Orange counties.
Though not for the first time, the train made it to maximum speeds during testing in Central Florida.
We're #OnTrackToOrlando as we perform test runs along the 528 corridor with trains reaching speeds of 125 MPH between Cocoa and Orlando.

This 40-mile stretch features no grade crossings and will only be used for passenger rail once service begins. pic.twitter.com/xPI9jpE9sj
The train hit its top speed of 125 miles per hour along the tracks during testing between State Road 417 and State Road 520.
The rail service will eventually connect the Orlando International Airport to South Florida, and Brightline officials anticipate passenger service will begin within the next couple of months.
