Donald Trump says he will speak at annual NRA conference in Houston after Texas shooting

President Donald Trump spoke at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum in May.

Former President Trump still plans to speak at this weekend’s NRA conference, just days after the deadly shooting at a Texas elementary school.

In a post to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote “America needs real solutions and real leadership in this moment, not politicians and partnership”.

Trump added “In the meantime, we all continue to pray for the victims, their families, and for our entire nation – we are all in this together!”

Trump is scheduled to speak on Friday at the conference in Houston. Sen. Ted Cruz and Gov. Greg Abbott are also scheduled to speak, but have not yet confirmed they still plan to attend.
