35 arrested in takedown of Central Florida drug smuggling operation

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has announced the results of a two-year investigation known as “Operation Outta Hand”, which has brought down a drug trafficking organization operating in Central Florida and Puerto Rico.

The organization was found to be importing cocaine and deadly fentanyl into the area.

Orange County Sheriff and Orlando Police Chief have both stated that they believe shutting down the organization will save lives.

Suspects, if convicted, may face up to life in prison on various charges.

FDLE Director also noted that the amount of cocaine coming into Central Florida has driven down the bulk price of cocaine by about a third.
