If there is one thing true Floridians know, it’s how much we value and protect our Publix subs and Wawa sandwiches.
That’s why a Floridian couple buckled down and invented a case to protect your precious sandwich from anything that may try to destroy it; i.e. soda cans squishing it in the cooler, sand at the beach, or water.
Yes, the SubSafe is indeed waterproof and floats, in case your sandwich tumbles out of your canoe as you float down Wekiva Springs.
Adam and Desiree Haller of Port Orange took their nifty sandwich keeper onto Shark Tank in January 2019 and got backing.
As Orlando Weekly reports, "The duo made a $100,000 deal, in exchange for 25% equity, with billionaire Mark Cuban and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley who appeared as a guest Shark on the episode."
They continue, “the product's Facebook page actually shows videos of people using SubSafe as a shaker for mixed drinks on a boat. Damn, they really do get Floridians.”
You can get your own SubSafe at Wawa and Publix as well as Bed, Bath & Beyond in Georgia and Florida.
Watch Mark Cuban and Charles Barkley negotiate to buy 25% of SubSafe for $100,000 on the January 27, 2019 episode of "Shark Tank":
