A woman whose mugshot went viral due to a sugar skull face tattoo is now getting the ink removed.

Alyssa Zebrasky says her ex-boyfriend convinced her to get the elaborate Day of the Dead ink on her face, complete with a spider web on her forehead and black shading around the eyes, nose, and cheeks.

After completing rehab and entering a new, healthier relationship, Zebrasky is getting the ink removed.

“I started healing mentally from all the stuff I went through with him,” she said.

Although she does not appreciate being teased on social media, she is hopeful that her story could help someone in a similar situation.
