WDBO WELCOMES BACK CLARK HOWARD: LIVE, WEEKDAYS 1 – 3PM
ORLANDO – Oct. 8, 2012 – In response to listener feedback, NewsTalk WDBO has made a series of changes to its weekday programming schedule. The Clark Howard Show is once again being heard live weekdays 1-3pm on Central Florida's #1 News, Weather, Traffic Station, 96.5 WDBO.
"I am so excited that I'm going to be live again on WDBO, weekdays 1 to 3," said Clark Howard. "WDBO was my very first radio station in syndication in February 1998. I'm coming up on my 15th anniversary and can't imagine a better anniversary gift than to return to a live timeslot."
Clark Howard is a radio and TV consumer expert, teaching listeners and viewers how to save more, spend less, and avoid getting ripped off. With this transition, WDBO will now become his flagship radio station for his nationally-syndicated radio show, heard every day on more than 200 radio stations throughout North America. He is also co-host of HLN's nightly news program Evening Express, with CNN's Ryan Smith and Isha Sesay. Clark is well known for his generous community service efforts, heading up annual Habitat for Humanity builds and Christmas Kids drives to bring toys to foster children, efforts he plans to continue locally in Central Florida.
WDBO will continue to air shows from Neal Boortz, Mel Robbins and Sean Hannity. “All of our daytime programming will now be live, not tape delayed, allowing Central Floridians the opportunity to call in and hear perspective and information on breaking news as it happens,” said Drew Anderssen, WDBO Program Director.
Additionally, Orlando will continue to hear updated breaking news, severe weather and traffic every six minutes on the way to and from work, with Central Florida’s Morning and Evening News News each weekday.
"We are making improvements to WDBO based on listener feedback, a process that will never stop," added Anderssen, who recently moved to Central Florida to program WDBO.
The NewsTalk WDBO weekday program schedule, effective Oct. 12, is as follows:
- 5:00a - 9:00a: Central Florida's Morning News
