A short video clip showing an upset parent scolding a teacher for discussing George Floyd with her class was posted to YouTube.com Sunday.
The video is now making the rounds on the internet and stirring up more controversy.
While we don’t hear what the teacher said, the mom alludes to a discussion regarding Floyd. "Now you’re in school, talking to my kid about George Floyd. They ain’t got nothing to do with this. You’re having an ignorant, disrespectful conversation. " the mom said.
“I don’t feel as though that this conversation that you’re having with our children is a good one,” the mom stated as she became more emotional.
“It’s 2020, you got --------- -------- that don’t care,” the mom continues.
The teacher did try to address her concerns but was cut-off.
‘He wasn’t supposed to be honored.’ Are you saying this because you’re white?” the mom asks.
One student can be heard saying, “It has nothing to do with race.”
The mom continues to say she is only talking to the teacher and then says her daughter is now leaving the class and that the teacher can call or email her.
