A high-octane illegal street race in Florida came to an abrupt halt as law enforcement swarmed multiple locations at once.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office cracked down on the event, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals and the confiscation of eight cars.
Caught in the act was an 18-year-old driver who made quite a spectacle by performing daring “donuts” in the middle of an intersection, while fellow participants blocked traffic lanes. In a video shared by the sheriff’s office, eight daring spectators were seen bravely maneuvering around a spinning blue Ford Mustang, with one person even waving a flag like a bullfighter.
This wild scene unfolded at the junction of Madison Avenue and South 50th Street (also known as U.S. 41) near Tampa, around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24.
