Florida wildlife officers were filmed killing over 30 snakes at a reptile facility.
The video posted by the United States Association of Reptile Keepers shows the officers using a device to launch a charge into the snakes’ heads.
Sadly, one of the snakes was a pregnant boa constrictor, and the officers’ reaction indicates they knew they made a mistake.
The Reptile Keepers revealed that the officers were carrying out an unannounced raid on the facility. In total, 34 snakes were killed, including 32 baby boas that had unique color morphs and could have sold for up to $4,000 each.
The Fish and Wildlife agency said that the owner of the facility requested the officers euthanize the reptiles on-site, as he relinquished his ownership.
