SHOCK: Man pushes woman’s head into passing NYC subway train

The New York Police Department has launched a manhunt for a suspect who shoved a woman’s head into a moving subway train in what’s being called a random attack.

The incident happened Sunday morning as the 35-year-old victim was walking along a subway platform on the Upper East Side, police say. A man, holding a cup of coffee in one hand, approached her from behind and pushed her head into an E-train that was speeding by, per the NYPD. As of Monday afternoon, the woman remained in critical condition with injuries to her head and spine, authorities say.

Police say the suspect is a white male between the ages of 30 and 40. They’re asking anyone with information on his identity to give them a call.
