Orange County, Fla. — Precinct 538, the on-campus polling site at UCF’s Live Oak Event Center, saw a 107.56% voter turnout in the 2020 election. It’s not an error!
In Orange County, 754 voters registered in precinct 538 by the Oct. 6 registration deadline. In Florida, there is no deadline for updating your address after the deadline to register to vote.
Some Florida voters decided to update their address, placing them in precinct 538. After the final count, a total of 811 ballots were cast in the precinct.
Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith (D-Orlando) won re-election in Florida House District 49, which covers the University of Central Florida area.
“Young people need to get out there all across the board because there are so many issues that they care about that are on the ballot either through a constitutional amendment or through the candidates,” Smith said.

By the registration deadline, (Oct. 6th), there were 754 voters registered in precinct 538. But, if you're already registered to vote in Florida, there's no deadline for updating your address.
