Whitehorse, Yukon -- Thrill-seekers from around the world are taking part in an international hair-freezing competition to see who can make the coolest frozen hairstyle.

Each winter, the Takhini Hot Springs hosts a hair freezing contest, that invites visitors to dunk their heads into the 107°F water and then expose their hair to the -22°F air in order to turn their hair into the perfect texture for some ice-cold styling.

All winners take home $750 in cold-hard cash and a membership to the hot springs. Each year there is a best male, best female, most creative and best group winner.
