Wrestling superstar Kevin Nash arrested in Daytona Beach Shores after fight with son

News 96.5 has learned that wrestling superstar Kevin Nash was arrested in Daytona Beach Shores early Wednesday morning during a domestic disturbance call at his home.

According to the police report, Nash, 55, got into a fight with his 18-year-old son, Tristen, at their South Atlantic Avenue home.

When authorities got to the scene, they were told Tristen Nash arrived at the home intoxicated and became disrespectful and belligerent toward his father and mother.

Kevin Nash, who had a bloody scratch mark under his left eye, told police his son spit in his face and struck him with his shoulder and elbow.

According to the police report, Kevin Nash refused to offer a written statement or get medical attention and told the officer to "get a subpoena" when the officer asked to take photos of his injuries.

Tristen Nash told officers he got home and got into a verbal argument with his father, after his dad got upset that he was intoxicated and having relationship issues.

At one point, the son said Kevin Nash grabbed him by the throat and forced him to the ground, putting pressure on his chest until he couldn’t breathe.

Tristen Nash said he hit his head and blacked out for a brief moment.  He also said he hit his elbow, which caused a laceration.

The son admitted to grabbing his father's face while being held down on the ground due to being unable to breathe and trying to get his father to release him.

He refused all medical treatment and refused to complete a written statement affidavit detailing the incident, authorities said.

The teen's mother, Tamara Nash, said she was on the second floor of the home and didn’t hear or see the incident.

Authorities determined Kevin Nash was the primary aggressor and charged him with domestic battery.

That's when Tamara Nash changed her story, telling officers her son attacked her husband. She said she was in fear because of past physical altercations between her and her son.

Kevin Nash was taken to the Volusia County Jail.

Hours later, authorities were called back to the scene after Tristen Nash was accused of attacking his mother. He was arrested on simple battery-domestic violence charges and taken to the Volusia County Jail.
