VIDEO: Cop snaps teen's arm during arrest

Teen arrest

A Beaumont police officer is on administrative leave without pay after video surfaced of him breaking a student's arm while trying to get a school fight under control.

According to the

Officer Stephen Rivers is seen in the video helping a female officer take down one student who school administrators say has fought with another student 'two or three times in the past.' Those two students can be seen fighting before the officers try to break up the fight.

In the video, Officer Rivers grabs the student's arm while he's face down on the ground and pushes it forward, breaking it. You can hear a loud snap as the student screams in pain.

BISD Police Chief Clydell Duncan says the officer broke the student's arm because he used an improper technique trying to handcuff him.
