An Orange County teacher has been suspended from her job, but not arrested, after deputies said they found marijuana in her car.
Investigators told Channel 9's Mario Boone that social studies teacher Megan Urban was pulled over at Timber Creek High School.
A deputy said he followed Urban as she drove erratically and then turned into the high school parking lot.
The deputy said Urban cut in front of a long line of cars waiting to turn left.
He said that's when he pulled Urban over on school grounds.
According to the deputy, when he approached her car, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana.
Also noted in the report was an unlabeled pill bottled with four red pills inside.
Urban wasn't arrested; instead a school administrator came and took her away.
Parents who spoke with Channel 9 about the incident were upset school leaders failed to notify them about the teacher found on campus two days ago allegedly with marijuana and pills.
"They're supposed to tell us. They don't tell us anything," said parent Evelyn Perales.
"I think we should know something about it, yes," said another parent, Roman Law.
Urban has been relieved of duty with pay while Orange County Public Schools investigates the incident.
The Sheriff's Office forwarded the case to the state attorney for possible charges.
