Hopefully Leatherface won't be bringing the room service.
Horror fans of the "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" will soon be able to stay on the set of the 1974 classic when the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Gas Station opens this summer in Bastrop, Texas.Â
Owner Roy Rose, who is a horror movie buff, bought the property last year and moved to Texas from Ohio to restore it.
"We're going to build a 'horror barbecue resort', we're going to put cabins in the back for all the fans that want to come and stay the night," Rose told KXAN local news.
Coming along for the ride: Ari Lehman, who played Jason Voorhees in the 1980 horror flick "Friday the 13th," is one of Rose's partners, according to The Guardian.
The gas station was a key landmark in the original 'Massacre.' It was known as the Last Chance gas station run by Drayton Sawyer and his clan of cannibals who served up 'human chili.'Â
The new horror resort will have plenty of accomodations for those brave enough to visit: a BBQ restaurant, cabins for overnight stays, live entertainment, a merchandise store and a big screen that will likely show the film. A sign that reads 'We Slaughter BBQ' is already posted on the property.
According to the Facebook page, Â The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Gas Station is set to open in mid-July.
