Apopka man claims $1 million prize in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County man is a millionaire after winning a $1 million prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED scratch-off game from the Florida Lottery.

Robert White claimed the $1 million prize after purchasing his winning ticket from the Quick Serv on Bear Lake Road in Apopka.

The 61-year-old Apopka man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

The store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $2,000 bonus commission.

The $20 game, GOLD RUSH LIMITED, launched in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million dollars, as well as 33,000 other cash prizes.

Scratch-off games made up 77% of ticket sales and generated more than $1.8 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in the fiscal year 2021-22.
