SeaWorld, trainer's family blast "Blackfish" documentary

UPDATE: The family of trainer Dawn Brancheau, who was killed by the whale Tilikum at SeaWorld Orlando said that Dawn would not have remained a trainer there for 15 years if she felt that the whales were not well cared for. Read their statement by clicking here.

SeaWorld is fighting back against the documentary Blackfish that has stained it's reputation and caused several entertainers to cancel their planned concerts at Seaworld-owned theme parks.

The park has posted three videos on YouTube and at their website that claim the documentary falsified facts and made it appear that animals were being mistreated.

SeaWorld has labeled the movie "Blackfish" as propaganda, not a documentary on the interaction between trainers and the killer whales at the parks.

Below is a testimonial from killer whale trainer Holly Byrd.

Former trainer Mark Simmons complained that his interview was used in a way to make the park look bad.

"Blackfish" premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival where it was purchased by CNN Films and later aired on the cable news network.
Since, it's been viewed by tens of millions of people who stream Netflix.
