A Volusia County high school employee was arrested after being accused of having sex with a female student more than 100 times.
Police said 32-year-old Michael Jones is in the Volusia County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Ormond Beach police he was arrested after some of his co-workers at Seabreeze High School told school officials they walked in on him and the alleged victim in the school auditorium on Friday.
But police said Jones admitted he had sex with the girl on school grounds and didn't want to estimate how many times.
The teenager told investigators their illegal affair unfolded in the school, a grocery store parking lot, and even the suspect's home.
Jones works as an auditorium technician. Police said the victim told them their affair started when she was 16 years old and went on for more than a year.
"I think it's ridiculous and something that needs to be discussed. I think it's disgusting somebody would do that," said former student Nicole Stout.
School officials removed Jones from Sea Breeze High School on Friday. Over the weekend, the parents of his alleged victim brought her to police.
Police said the victim said she even babysat for the married father. One time, she claimed Jones' child got sick so he and his wife came home, then according to the police report: "The defendant's wife took the child to the hospital with the defendant saying he was going to stay home. The victim stated that they had sex on the couch at that time."
According to Jones' charging affidavit, the alleged victim in the case said he may be involved with other girls.
Jones has been at the school seven years as a clerk and a technician for the auditorium.
He also runs the school's video production club. According to police, the victim said the first time she and Jones had sex was during a field trip to St. Augustine.
Neighbors and former students said Jones seems like a nice guy.
"I wouldn't say the girls flocked to him, but he was definitely well liked guy," said former Seabreeze student Tim Whalen.
The school district is also investigating the situation. Jones is still being paid by the school district.
