Police use helicopter for daring river rescue

Dramatic video of a river rescue in Arizona has been viewed and shared thousands of times on the internet.

It happened last week near Mesa after heavy rains caused the Salt River to swell.  A man was caught in the rushing water.

The Arizona Republic reports, the rescue played out on March 2, not far from Sloan Park and the Chicago Cubs spring training facilities.

Police used a helicopter to pluck the man out of the water, lifting him over to an officer standing by.

The officer's body camera captured the daring rescue.
