Florida Highway Patrol says a teen was the cause of a Thursday morning accident which closed Colonial Drive at the 417 Expressway for more than an hour.
A trooper spotted 17-year-old Kayla Stewart driving a stolen Chevy pickup truck with the head lights off on Goldenrod Road when law enforcement tried to stop her.
FHP says Stewart kept going, drove through a red light and slammed into the left side of a Volkswagon as the driver entered the intersection.
The driver of the Volkswagon is in critical condition, according to authorities.
Troopers say Chelsea Keith, 18, was a passenger inside the stolen pickup truck.
Both teens were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
