SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Sanford Police Department says they’ve arrested a teenager who shot a student near Seminole High School on Wednesday.
The shooting report first came in around 1:30 p.m. One person, a student at Seminole High School, was shot and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Just before 4 p.m., police announced they were searching for Jaquan Alexander Grant, 16, who is a Seminole County Public Schools student. He was later arrested around 5:30 p.m.

The high school, along with Millennium Middle School, were briefly on a lockdown while police investigated.
The Lake Howell tennis match has been canceled following the shooting call, district officials said
