Osceola County, Fla. — Large house parties, sometimes with gang members and firearms have been an ongoing problem for law enforcement and residents in Osceola county.
The Sheriff’s Office says it made 15 arrests over the weekend during increased patrols to crack down on those ongoing house parties.
The sheriff’s office said during this operation they confiscated two firearms and made multiple felony arrests. Throughout the weekend authorities also did 180 traffic stops and handed out 105 citations.
Charges from the crackdown range from driving under the influence, carrying a firearm under a false name and drug charges.
Deputies say house parties during the last few months have resulted in violent incidents including shootings and at least one homicide.
