Orlando, Fla. — Alex Morgan issued an apology on social media for an incident that led to her and other Orlando soccer players being kicked out of Epcot over the weekend.
According to an incident report released Tuesday, Morgan was described as “highly impaired” and shouted she knew the Orlando SWAT team when Orange County sheriff’s deputies tried to escort her and a group of others out of the park Sunday.
MLS players Donald Toia and Giles Barnes of Orlando City Soccer were also ejected. The report states the group began arguing with other guests and workers after Barnes cut in line at the United Kingdom Pavilion pub.
Morgan also a player on the World Cup winning U.S. women's national team, posted an apology on her Twitter account Wednesday,
I want to apologize for my actions that occurred over the weekend. I will learn from this make sure it does not happen again. #liveandlearn
