News 96.5 has learned officer Sean Gilhuly was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Last month Gilhuly was arrested in Seminole County when Oviedo Police say he became violent during an arrest for driving under the influence.
OPD said the incident happened while Gilhuly was off duty. He's being relieved of duty with pay while an internal investigation is conducted.
OPD has not released the exact charges against Gilhuly, who has been with OPD since Sept. 2011.
No word on whether this is related to Gilhuly's previous arrest in Seminole County.
