Orlando officer who was run over diagnosed with traumatic brain injury

The wife of an Orlando police officer who was run over during a traffic stop this month said her husband was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.

Officer William Anderson’s wife posted an update online Wednesday with a new picture.She said Anderson will now move from Shands Hospital in Gainesville to an inpatient rehabilitative center.

Three teens have been charged in connection with the case.

Edward Kelty, 17, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.

Kelty's mother has filed an excessive force complaint against Anderson, who opened fire as he was hit by the car.

A GoFundMe account that was set up for Anderson's family to help pay meeical bills has reached more than $26,000.
