Fans of Orlando City Soccer Club plan to gather at Orlando International Airport to greet the team's newest signee, former World Player of the Year Kaka.
The team plans a welcoming event at 5:30 p.m. at the airport's main terminal.
The Brazilian midfielder has ended his contract with AC Milan, leaving him free to sign with Orlando City for the 2015 MLS season.
Team owner Flavio Augusto da Silva had been courting Kaka when it appeared imminent that Orlando would be awarded a Major League Soccer franchise.
Milan says Kaka's contract has been "resolved by mutual consent." Kaka is flying to Orlando this evening to sign with Orlando City.
The 32-year-old player is expected to return on loan to his first club, Sao Paulo, before joining Orlando City SC in January 2015 for its first MLS season.
Kaka scored 104 goals in 307 appearances during his two spells at Milan interrupted by a four-year stint at Real Madrid. The former World Player of the Year also helped Brazil win the World Cup in 2002.
He has changed the attacking style of his play to let others shine, according to a report in the Daily Star.
