Walt Disney World removes all face mask requirements

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Walt Disney World removed all of its face mask requirements this week.

The theme park previously required face coverings for all guests aboard Disney buses and monorails regardless of vaccination status. Disney made masks optional for fully vaccinated guests aboard the Disney Skyliner last month.

The change comes a day after a federal judge in Florida voided the national mask mandate covering airplanes and other public transportation as exceeding the authority of U.S. health officials.

Disney’s face mask policy now says masks are optional for guests in both indoor and outdoor locations, as well as on Disney transportation.

The theme park is recommending, but not requiring, guests who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.
