A 41-year-old father accused of beating his fiancee to death is sitting behind bars, and DCF will hold an emergency custody hearing to figure out what to do with the couple's kids.
Orlando investigators arrested Nestor Habarugira early Sunday after they say he admitted to killing his fiancee, Ruth Owino.
Habarugira had nothing to say to reporters as police took him to jail.
Investigators say he bludgeoned Owino to death with an exercise weight after she tried to break off their engagement.
It happened at the couple's home at the Island Club Apartments on Kirkman Road.
Police say the couple has serveral children who are now with a family member. An emergency DCF hearing set for Monday will determine what
happens to them.
Habarugira is being held without bond.
Owino's death represents Orlando's eighth murder of the year.
