Olympics: Watch Spanish horse dance to Santana

Lorenzo Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez of Spain, riding Lorenzo, competes in the dressage individual grand prix freestyle on Monday, August 15, 2016, in Rio de Janeiro.

Give him the gold, make it real or else forget about it.

It is the highest expression of horse-training, and even though he finished fifth, people on social media are screaming for a special award for Lorenzo.

It was a once in a lifetime event when Spain's Severo Jesus Juardo Lopez and horse Lorenzo stole everyone's hearts with a dressage performance to 'Smooth" by Carlos Santana  in Monday's Individual Freestyle.

López and  Lorenzo put on an impressive display in Rio, set to the Latin guitarist's Grammy-winning 1999 hit with Rob Thomas.

The 1,300 pound horse pirouetted and danced more nimbly than most people I know, and the music was a big departure from the stuffy soundtracks that have come before.

SB  Nation reported, "The crowd wildly clapped to Bon Jovi's beat and lustily booed when the judges gave Jurado Lopez a score that put him off the podium."
