In a world of trendy and bizarre food mashups, it was only a matter of time before lasagna and nachos became one...and Olive Garden seems to have done it right.
Just in time to fulfill your Super Bowl party wish list, the Italian restaurant chain has added Loaded Pasta Chips - AKA Italian pasta nachos - to their menu.
For a mere $7.49, you get a plate of homemade pasta chips that are lightly fried and layered with Italian cheeses and a hearty meat sauce. They are then topped with cherry peppers and an Alfredo drizzle.
How many calories, you ask? You probably don't want to know.
Now if you're skeptical and think this is a sin among foods, TheWayne on Twitter puts things into perspective quite nicely.
“Taco Bell has Nacho fries. Let Olive Garden have their Italian Nachos.”
‘Nuff said. Happy Super Bowl!
