Florida is no stranger to a variety of creatures, especially snakes. However, while many of you may encounter the common garden snake every once in a while, what if you run into one that has different colors? How will you really know if it is poisonous or not? Accidents happen all the time.
Well now, there is an app to help you make sense of the madness. Its called Snake Snap. It has three main features that are designed to educate and prepare you for that potentially deadly encounter.
"Did You Know" is all snake trivia. "What's the difference" compares similar looking ones, but distinguishes the deadly ones from the non deadly ones. And the third lets you take a picture, trace the shape of the snake with your finger, enter where and when you saw it, and then in a few seconds, you will know what kind you are dealing with and who can help you get rid of it, if need be.
Snake Snap has launched already, but won't be fully functional until late in July. You can find more information on the website here.
The creators of the app also have an upcoming event on December 7th through the 8th for Repticon Orlando, which will be at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.
