Orlando, Fla. — An Emmy-winning entertainer and improv comedian who got his start in Orlando is coming home Saturday on a day now dedicated in his honor.
Wayne Brady is performing at the Doctor Phillips Center on Saturday, Oct. 12th.
“Wayne grew up in Orlando and attended Doctor Phillips High School and participated in the theater magnet program and whereas Wayne got his start as an improviser at Orlando’s SAC Theater Comedy Lab...” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer as he proclaimed proclaimed Saturday ‘Wayne Brady Day’ in the City Beautiful.
Brady responded to the honor on the set of his show, Let’s Make a Deal.
“Little guy from Tangelo Park... I never thought I’d see the day that I’d have my own day in Orlando. I’m so thankful for the start that Orlando gave me...” said Brady.
