Miami Marlins' outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was drilled in the face by a fastball Thursday during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Stanton suffered multiple facial fractures, a severe laceration, and broken teeth that became embedded in his cheek.
He was taken off the field semiconscious and bloody by ambulance.
Tuesday he posted these selfies to his instagram. Â Staton who likely will miss the rest of the season, was a front runner for National League MVP.
